What can I request via internal transfer?

You can use this form to request a program transfer, program addition and program plan change. Not all programs are available through the internal transfer process, and not all programs are available every semester or term. 

What do I do if the program I want to study isn't listed?

If the program you want to study isn't in the drop-down list, you'll need to apply for admission via regular application channels. For domestic students, apply via SATAC for programs with an on campus or combined study mode or apply directly to Adelaide University for 100% online programs. International students apply via the international application system.  

Is there a deadline to submit?

It is recommended you submit a request as soon as possible and no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of the next study period. 

How will I know the outcome?

Once your request is submitted successfully, you will be taken to a confirmation page where you will be able to review the details of your submission. When assessment of your request is complete, we will contact you via email with the outcome.  

Can I defer my new program?

You cannot defer the commencement of your new program unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please consider requesting a leave of absence. 

What if I can't decide?

The internal transfer request system does not allow preferences and will only let you choose one program to transfer into. If you submit more than one internal transfer request for the same study period, all but the most recent will be withdrawn. You are encouraged to be certain of your choice before you submit. 

I am an international student visa holder, do I need to remain enrolled in my current program if I have been approved for an internal transfer?

International student visa holders must remain enrolled in their current program prior to their program transfer effective date, to remain compliant with their student visa conditions. Non-enrolment in your program will result in the cancellation of your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), and may result in the cancellation of your student visa.
